The conference

The BAI, as the lobby association for Alternative Investments in Germany, intends to bring participants at the BAI Alternative Investor Conference together to exchange their know-how and to contribute to the comprehension of Alternative Investment in the public. Alternative asset classes play an increasing role in the portfolio of institutional investors because of their positive qualities, for instance the risk minimisation or the higher return. As the acceptance has also grown in Germany, institutional investors invest more and more in Alternative Investments.

The conference offers product suppliers, institutional investors, providers of the Alternative Investment industry and other interested participants an outstanding opportunity to exchange thoughts and to receive information about new market trends which are relevant for the industry.

The Program

The two-day event has an interesting program with current topics in the field of Alternative Investments. Topics like hedge funds, private equity and commodities will be discussed. Top-class engaged panelists will perform discussions in the large auditorium. Diverse keynote-speeches will be held, too.

Long coffee breaks offer a perfect chance for an intensive networking and an exchange of ideas. On request we can offer further space for conversations in small groups in quiet surroundings.

Institutional investors are invited to attend a dinner April 26 - the eve before the conference - and a second dinner April 27 in exclusive locations.

Workshop, panel discussions and dinners for institutional investors*

Institutional endinvestors (insurances, endowments, pension funds, single family offices etc) report about their experiences with Alternative Investments and discuss topics like Hedge Fund Due Diligence, Timber, Infrastructure and other top issues of the day in small groups.

Following the presentations and round tables in the workshop, the participants, which are solely members of the target audience of end investors, may ask questions to the speakers and discuss within the group.

Furthermore we have extended the social programm - BAI is inviting the investors to two dinners in exclusive locations (April 26 and April 27).
