Organizer

With the BAI Alternative Investor Conference (AIC), the BAI, as an association and representative of the alternative investments industry in Germany, would like to offer participants a platform for the professional exchange of ideas and also make a significant contribution to ensuring that the topic of alternative investments is better understood by the public. The BAI AIC is primarily aimed at institutional investors, but it also offers product providers and service providers an ideal opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss the latest findings and trends in the AI industry. 

Alternative investments are playing an increasingly important role in the portfolios of institutional investors due to their positive characteristics in terms of risk reduction and the opportunity for higher returns. Interest among investors from Germany has also been growing steadily for years, with the result that many institutional investors are now also increasingly investing in alternative investments.

Program

Over the course of two days, we offer conference participants a varied program featuring highly topical and engaging presentations as well as panel discussions. As in previous years, a pre-event on “Law and Regulation” will take place on the afternoon before the AIC 2026. Please note that participation in this event will be limited to approximately 150 attendees.

This year’s conference will once again feature a Get-Together and an Investor Dinner. Further details will be announced soon.

Workshop for institutional investors

Investment managers representing institutional end investors (insurers, foundations, pension funds, pension funds, single family offices) will report on their own experiences with investments in alternative investments at the investor workshop. Following the presentations, the participants - who will be made up exclusively of end investors during the workshop - will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and engage in discussions.
