BAI Alternative Investor Conference 2021 – A Virtual Venture

  • The industry conference on the subject of Alternative Investments
  • Spanning all asset classes and products
  • Targeted at institutional investors
  • For the first time as a purely virtual event

Various networking opportunities, virtual exhibitor stands of the sponsors, Lunch@home, as well as an entertainment speech in the late afternoon round off the conference. For institutional end investors, AIC 2021 will once again offer the opportunity to exchange ideas in a select circle, without any product suppliers - purely virtually this time.

BAI, as an association and representative of the alternative investment industry in Germany, would like to use the BAI Alternative Investor Conference (AIC) to continue to offer participants a platform for the exchange of professional ideas, even in times when a face-to-face exchange is not possible while simultaneously making a significant contribution to ensuring that the topic of alternative investments is received with a better understanding by the public. BAI AIC is primarily aimed at institutional investors, but it also offers product and service providers an ideal opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss the latest findings and trends in the AI industry.

Alternative investments are playing an increasingly important role in the portfolios of institutional investors due to their positive characteristics in terms of risk reduction and the opportunity for higher returns. Interest has also been growing steadily for years among investors from Germany, so that many institutional investors are now increasingly investing in alternative investments.

AIC will be held in 2021 as a purely virtual conference.

On a total of four days, BAI AIC offers conference participants an interactive programme with highly relevant and entertaining lectures and panel discussions featuring surveys and a chat function. Each day of the conference will focus on one or two topics - e.g. private debt, ESG, liquid alternatives - with a special Investors Day also planned. You can look forward to presentations on topics such as "Private Debt - Trends, Strategies and Investment Opportunities", "Are we facing a recession? Insights from Private and Public Markets", "Over a Decade of Infrastructure: Resurrection, Change and Outlook of an Asset Class", and "Integration of ESG Risks in the Investment and Risk Process for Alternative Investments". On the Investors Day you can look forward to the established investor panel as well as an investor lecture.

Featuring top-class keynote speakers:

  • Prof. Dr. Veronika Grimm, Chair of Economics, Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Member of the German Council of Economic Experts

  • Prof. Dr. Beatrice Weder di Mauro, Professor of International Economics, Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies / IHEID, Research Professor and Distinguished Fellow Emerging Markets Institute, INSEAD, mit einem Vortrag zu „The Post-Covid World”.
