Ralf is a Portfolio Manager responsible for the structuring, setup and the portfolio management of tailored private equity mandates for German
key-account clients. Such mandates include both evergreen and closedend structures and cover primary, secondary and direct co-investments.
He is since 2005 responsible for both the market coverage and primary fund investments in the Nordic and Benelux region (until 2015 in France)
investing in total in over 60 private equity funds. In the past he has built up and led the overall fund portfolio monitoring setup of the firm. Ralf is a member of the Advisory Board of various European private equity funds. He joined Unigestion in 2017 via the merger with Akina. He previously joined the former sponsor of Akina, the Lombard Odier Group, in 2001.
Before 2005, Ralf spent four years in Lombard Odier’s Corporate Finance team being based in Zurich and Paris. During his time in
Corporate Finance he covered a broad range of transactions such as going publics, capital increases, restructurings, public tender offers and
private buy- and sell-side M&A transactions. Prior to joining Lombard Odier, Ralf spent three years at Dresdner Bank in a trainee program during which he rotated through various divisions of the bank in Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Hong Kong. Over this period he focused on the financial advisory for private clients and the lending business for small and mid-sized enterprises. Ralf wrote his doctoral thesis on "development of IPO companies - the influence of changed ownership and control". He has published in various newspapers and business magazines on a broad range of
private equity and corporate finance-related topics. Moreover, he has during several years been lecturer at business schools in Germany and
