Bundesverband Alternative Investments e.V. (BAI)

Prof. Dr. Bernd Raffelhüschen (b. 1957, married, three children) is Professor of Finance and Director of the Research Centre for Intergenerational Contracts at the University of Freiburg and was Professor II at the University of Bergen, Norway (1994-2019). He studied economics in Kiel, Berlin and Aarhus (Denmark) and completed his doctorate and habilitation in this subject at Kiel University. Numerous stays abroad have taken him to the USA, among other places, but also repeatedly to the Scandinavian countries. In addition to his involvement in international research projects, he is also involved in practical social policy issues, for example as a member of the Rürup Commission, the Tax Code Commission and as a board member of the Market Economy Foundation

His research interests lie in the areas of social and tax policy, in particular old-age provision, health economics and long-term care provision.
