Dr. Tim Marahrens has been with Energy Infrastructure Partners (EIP) since 2014 and has held various positions there. In 2020 he took over the position of Co-Head Investments and in 2022 he became a Partner at EIP.

He is also a member of the Board of Directors of several portfolio companies. Prior to joining EIP, he gained experience at Swiss and American investment banks in Zurich and London. There he worked on M&A mandates for major companies in the EMEA region and acquired in-depth knowledge in the areas of due diligence, deal execution, financial modeling and fund structuring. To date, he has managed projects with a value of around EUR 10 billion. Dr. Marahrens holds a PhD in Energy Economics from the University of St. Gallen and a dual Master of Science in Financial Mathematics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich and the University of Zurich. His academic qualifications and professional experience make him an expert in the field of energy infrastructure.
